Hidden Light

  • St John's Waterloo, Waterloo Road, SE1 8TY (map)

Londinium's festive programme draws together a wonderful selection of Advent and Christmas music from across the centuries. Alongside motets by Palestrina, Gibbons, Eccard, Hassler and Sweelinck, we perform a particularly fine sequence of contemporary works by Joanna Marsh, Tarik O'Regan, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, Ben Rowarth and Simon Beattie, often drawing on resonant texts by modern poets. Completing our programme are irresistible carols by Howells and Joubert, and the world premiere of Natus by António Sá-Dantas. Wine and mince pies will be served!

St John's Waterloo is opposite Waterloo Station. Tickets include a complimentary programme.
